Beaver Valley Ranch Outfitters is located near Steamboat Springs in Northwest Colorado, just 25 minutes south of the Hayden Airport. This part of Northwest Colorado is home to the largest elk herd in the world. Our, almost 6,000 acre, Ranch has some of the finest Archery and Rifle Elk hunting in the region. Located in GMU 12 and 231 tags are available over the counter for Archery, 2nd and 3rd season. Muzzleloader, 1st and 4th season in draw (please contact CDOW or us for help on applying for a tag. We don't over hunt the property and consistently harvest or have opportunity at trophy bulls! The opportunity at a Bull is very close to 100%. The Ranch has several hundred acres of irrigated hay fields, over four and half miles of river bottom, huge aspen and pine covered hill sides and oak brush slopes providing the finest Elk habitat in the area.
You will stay in one of our comfortable guest cabins and have your meals at our main cabin. Each guest cabin has a full kitchen, TV and internet. The main cabin also has TV, internet and a phone (cell phones do not work at the ranch). We do most of the travel in and out of the field in a UTV, then on foot from there. There are comfortable stands and heated blinds throughout the ranch.
Almost anybody, in any shape, during any season can have opportunity to harvest a trophy bull at our Ranch. The property is bordered by several other large ranches and National Forest, over the years this continues hunting pressure has turned our Ranch into a natural sanctuary, and on the property we have another 600 acre sanctuary of our own that we do not enter. We hunt the property very carefully on the ranch borders, hay fields and around our Sanctuary. It is not uncommon to see well over a hundred elk a day.
